Day 1: Oudtshoorn, Klein Karoo, South Africa

Today you depart Cape Town and travel via Du Toit's Pass to Worcester. Your Garden Route tour traverses the famous Route 62, passing through the town of Robertson. You will visit the towns of Barrydale and Calitzdorp, where the true diversity of the landscape is highlighted through the ever changing semi desert areas.

Upon arrival in Oudtshoorn, you enjoy a visit to the Ostrich farm for a guided tour before departing for your deluxe country hotel. You relish in a delicious dinner in the elegant dining room, famous for its Ostrich delicacies and fine wines.

Your accommodation of the night is at Rosenhof Country House or similar in Executive Suites on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: Garden Route, South Africa

After an early morning breakfast your Garden Route tour visits the world renowned Cango Caves for a fully guided tour. You will then travel over the Outeniqua Pass via George and Knysna, South Africa's oyster capital, to the resort town of Plettenberg Bay.

You arrive at Tsala Tree Lodge in the late afternoon, situated in the lush indigenous forests of Tsitsikamma. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner before retiring to your luxurious accommodation for the evening. Accommodation at Tsala Tree Lodge is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3: Garden Route, South Africa

After a lovely breakfast on your scheduled deck you drive to Plettenberg Bay for an ocean safari to view Seal, Dolphin and Whale (in season). You take a short drive to Keurbooms Beach where you can enjoy pleasant walks and an optional lunch. You return to your lodge for a well deserved rest and a delicious dinner. Accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 4: Shamwari Private Game Reserve, Eastern Cape, South Africa

After breakfast you enjoy a drive through Nature's Valley, crossing the Storms River at Storms River Bridge. Travel via Port Elizabeth to the malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve. You arrive in time for a lovely lunch and an afternoon game drive with an experienced and knowledgeable ranger.

As the sun sets over the reserve, your ranger sweeps the veld with a powerful handheld light in search for the nocturnally active creatures of the reserve. You return to the lodge for a mouth watering dinner prepared by expert chefs, or a barbecue at the river beside a crackling fire.

You will enjoy accommodation at Eagle Cragg Lodge in the Shamwari Private Game Reserve on a full board basis, including 2 game viewing activities.

Day 5: Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa

After an early morning game viewing activity, you enjoy a tasty brunch before departing for Port Elizabeth where your Garden Route tour ends at your beachfront hotel or at the Port Elizabeth Airport.
